How it works
This vaccine is used for active immunization of the chickens for passive immunization of the vaccinated chickens to reduce viremia and clinical signs of disease caused by Avian Reovirus (ARV).
Nobilis Multriva® REOm combines two unique ARV strains from genotypes 1 and 4, stimulating a broad immune response and providing enhanced protection against ARV genotypes (1-5*).
Multiple strains for broader protection
Nobilis Multriva® REOm induces strong, long-lasting maternal antibodies, ensuring robust protection for chicks.
The maternal antibodies provide passive immunization for the progeny of the vaccinated chickens to reduce viremia and clinical signs of disease caused by ARV genotypes 1 – 5*.
This helps to safeguard the progeny’s health and performance from the vaccinated hen to chicks.
Easy to administer
This Nobilis Multriva® vaccine combination can be used as a primary and secondary vaccination.
Use as a primary vaccination
- Administer a single dose of 0.3 ml in the breast or thigh region from 7 weeks of age onwards.
Use as a booster vaccination
- Administer a single dose of 0.3 ml in the breast or thigh region from 8 weeks of age onwards, but no later than 3 weeks before the onset of lay. The vaccine should be given at least 4 weeks after administration of the primary vaccination.
*Initially, the ARV challenge strain GA 94594 was thought to represent genotype 4 due to early clustering, but as more strains were analyzed, it was reclassified into the newly identified genotype 5. **Data on file.
